The Level 5 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care has been created to develop and reward the business health and social care workers of today and the future, and to continue to bring recognition and professionalism to the health and social care sector. For entry onto the Level 5 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care, learners must: The qualification has been designed to be accessible without artificial barriers that restrict access, for this qualification applicants must be aged 18 or over. It is envisaged that learners entering the Level 4 Diploma will have a Level 3 qualification. Learners entering the Level 5 Diploma will have a Level 4 qualification. In the case of applicants whose first language is not English, then IELTS 6 (or equivalent) is required. International qualifications will be checked for appropriate enrolment to UK higher education postgraduate programmes where applicable. The applicants are normally required to produce two supporting references, at least one of which should preferably be academic.
